I've been a rinseless washer for years but have always used the Garry Dean method-multiple towels, never putting a dirty towel back into my wash solution. I saw Yvan Lacroix on video demonstrating a rinseless with a sponge. I was skeptical that the sponge could stay clean through the whole process but thought I would give it a try. Quite honestly I was blown away by how well this works. The sponge is very soft and glides over the surface. When you rub it against a grit guard it releases all dirt much better than I ever could have imagined, all clean and ready to wash the next section on the car. I'm convinced now. It works really well!
I wanted to try out this new (BGS) Big Gold Sponge for rinseless washing. I already have the Big Red Sponge and I liked this BGS better. It's softer and a better price with excellent results. I will be reordering this sponge from now on.
Someone in the know said that Opti's BGS and the Mckees's BGS were the same sponge. In fact was adamant about it when questioned. I do have both sponges. The obvious difference is the 2 additional cutouts. The Mckee's sponge is really soft, obvious difference when squeezed wet or dry. Both sponges been used 1-2 times each and live in a bag with ONR/N-914. Anyways, i really enjoy using it and its half the price of Opti's.
