Engineered for professional detailers and paint correction specialists, this newly redesigned Precision Pro backing plate enhances machine balance, polishing stability, durability, and overall operator comfort for a more refined polishing experience.

Developed with optimized materials and advanced engineering, the 980.720/C features a newly designed polyurethane interface that is directly heat-welded to the hook-and-loop surface. This innovative construction significantly improves the structural integrity, stability, and long-term durability of the backing plate under demanding polishing conditions.

The upgraded hook-and-loop material delivers superior pad retention and improved grip, ensuring consistent performance and greater reliability during cutting, polishing, and finishing applications. RUPES also refined the geometry and balance of the backing plate to improve machine handling and reduce operator fatigue during prolonged use. 

The enhanced design provides smoother operation, improved control, and increased polishing precision for higher-quality finishing results. An integrated rubber border edge adds an extra level of surface protection while helping the machine glide more smoothly across curves, contours, and delicate painted surfaces. Each backing plate includes an M8 bolt and shroud lubricant for easy installation and maintenance.
